Fans of design are in luck. At Cafés La Mexicana we have the exclusive Italian brand of glassware, Ichendorf Milano. They manufacture state-of-the-art blown glass tableware, each piece is expertly and delicately handcrafted.

Piuma means "feather" in Italian. The Piuma collection is made of borosilicate glass handmade using the lampwork technique. The purity of lines and simplicity characterise this collection.

Ichendorf is the combination of tradition and innovation, ancient techniques and modern lines. A real luxury to enjoy the best coffee.

We love this special sugarpot with its matching spoon in a minimalist design. Combine it with the rest of the Ichendorf coffee set.

About Ichendorf

Ichendorf, a story that began in the early 20th century, in a small village near Cologne, called Quadrath-Ichendorf.

Masters made glass from a mixture of substances, including silica, shaping precious objects to suit the refined taste of the time. A stylistic code defined by impeccable ornamentation, which played an undisputed role in the collections proposed up to 1950.

From 1950 onwards, a major change was decided: the focus was on the essentiality of form and the purity of the material, resulting in transparency without imperfections. Design was based on the search for a renewed language of forms accessible to all and no longer of an exclusive nature: the creation of objects with a contemporary design began.

In 1990 the Ichendorf Style Centre was created in Milan, a meeting point for artists and designers.
